VIBRANT: FRIDAY PHOTO CHALLENGE

Although I’ve changed living locations, the winter seasons still seem desolate. Whereas Northern Illinois was cold and snowy and dreary, Middle Tennessee is rainy and dreary between episodes of beautiful sunshine.

Most of the trees have shed their leaves, as have the colorful flowers of spring, summer, and fall.

This year, instead of dwelling on the dreariness of winter, my thoughts go back to our short vacation to St. Croix, USVI.

Friday’s Photo Challenge Vibrant asks to “share a photo of something vibrant. Let’s wash the web with a rainbow of colors to keep the winter gloom at bay.”

Here are some of the colorful, vibrant sights we discovered on the islands.

With its blue sky, blue waters, white fluffy clouds, and brightly colored buildings, the islands were a visual relief from the drab northern winter.
